Service Description

The objective of this Master Class is to provide librarians and educators with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to develop and implement curriculum-collaborative projects in their school libraries. By the end of the course, participants will have a well-developed project ready for implementation. Session 1: Introduction to Curriculum-Collaborative Projects • Welcome and introduction • Importance of collaboration between libraries and curriculum • Project introductions and group discussions • Homework: Setting Personal Objectives Session 2: Project Refinement and Selection • Practical ideas for brainstorming, including worst ideas, storyboarding, mind mapping, and questioning • Refinement of project ideas based on feedback • Criteria for selecting projects that align with curriculum and library goals • Homework: Consider practicality, feasibility, and potential impact on student learning Session 3: Planning and Aligning with Curriculum • Understanding curriculum standards and objectives • Aligning refined project goals with curriculum outcomes • Collaborative work on creating a detailed project plan • Homework: Develop a detailed project plan, including specific milestones and a realistic timeline Session 4: Resources and Technology Integration • Identifying necessary resources and technology tools • Integrating technology to enhance project outcomes • Budget considerations and seeking additional resources • Homework: Finalise resource and technology plans, begin exploring availability Session 5: Collaboration and Communication Strategies • Strategies for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders • Effective communication techniques for project success • Establishing clear roles and responsibilities • Homework: Refine communication and collaboration plans, identify potential collaborators Session 6: Implementation and Evaluation • Tips for successful project implementation • Addressing challenges and adapting the plan as needed • Methods for assessing project impact and student learning • Developing a post-project reflection and evaluation process You can select to 'pay online' with a credit card or 'pay in person' and I will send you an invoice.
